Morty would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year as we bid adieu to the 2009 year and get ready to begin another chapter for 2010.

Boss's Induction

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and is just enjoying the holidays. It always seems so short and sweet.

No Christmas photos yet, but since I am way behind in posting (still have some leftover Dublin pics and lots of London and Paris photos and not to mention, Palm Springs) I'll post a few of the boss's induction as council member of Montebello. The city hall was jam packed and I was in a bad spot (try outside the door!) so I didn't get to take any photos there. I do have a few of the after party.

This cake was homemade and very good! Seriously, the catered Armenian food was delicious and some of the desserts (there were many) were homemade and yummmmmmy.

Wow. Watched this movie for the first time and actually found myself enjoying it! Think what you want, but this is a movie I can watch over and over again. Watch it. Dig it.

Snuggie Update

Remember when I blogged about wanting a Snuggie of my very own a few months back? (here)



Well I couldn't decide whether I wanted a leopard print (!), red or blue one, but choices are much simpler now, because I want the Weezer Snuggie!

Surprise Brother!

We had a very small surprise birthday gathering for my brother two weeks ago. It was pulled off nicely and he was totally surprised.

Pasadena

Roy and Andrew were back in town for the Thanksgiving break. Hung out with them in Pasadena over dinner and lots of shots that night. It was great seeing them again and Eve as well. 

Notes/Comments:

Cheescake Factory - My miso salmon was lovely.

Freddie's 35er Bar - Wow, my 1st shot of Patron was served in a really warm glass that was cringe-worthy and woke me up! Subsequent shots were better. 

Mi Piace - OMG! Their apple pie was DIVINE and I can't remember the other desserts, but they were all VERY GOOD.

Too many photos and so little time to want to upload and post. But I do have some time for now. 2 more weeks to go!

Dandy Warhols and Silversun Pickups

We (me, Christian and Maria) went to see the Dandy Warhols and Silversun Pickups at the Gibson Amphitheatre Universal City a few weeks ago. 

With Maria at Saddle Ranch sipping on some strong fruity mai tai cocktail. We also another drink courtesy of our server and bartender. Hooked up.

Playing Jason Mraz's 'I'm Yours'. The guy with the hat reminded me of Billy Zane. 

Poker After Dark

I have been so addicted to this show. Staying up late to work on things has made me an avid poker watcher since after midnight programs are limited when you lack Direct TV. I have watched the pot get bigger every chance I get to watch it and still have no real clue of what is going on. There is also something soothing listening to the sounds of the players tossing and playing with their poker chips.





Lineup: Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius,Howard Lederer, Eli Elezra, Ilari Sahamies and Phil Ivey.
