Dublin: Week 3 - Phoenix Park

Phoenix Park
Phoenix Park is considered to be one of the largest enclosed recreational space within any European capital city. This park is larger than all of London's city parks combined and more than twice the area of NYC's Central Park. Pretty big, eh??? The Dublin Zoo, President of Ireland's residence, U.S. Ambassador's residence, Wellington Testimonial, Papal Cross are among many others that are located in Phoenix Park.

This place happened to be my least favorite place to visit during my trip here so far. It will probably remain on the bottom because I have no intention nor desire to come back to this snoozefest zzzzzzzzzz of a place. When I first heard the word "park", I was already a little hesitant but wanted to be a good sport to go along with the ride. I'm not a total fan of parks (I won't lie - I hate parks), I get bored there and really only go to parks when I have a specific mission, like a picnic, walking my little dog or playing tennis or rollerblading/rollerskating. Sometimes I don't even like picnics. I despise going to parks just to hang out, walk or sit there. It's too melancholy and bland for me. Anyway, we should have just skipped out on the park and bought entrance to the Dublin Zoo because I'm sure we would have had a much livelier time than walking through the park. Even when we pass by this place during the hop-on-hop-off bus every now and then, I simply cringe at the thought of what a complete and utter waste of a day it was to hang around here and take in that sight. As a result, I only have a few photos since I was neither inspired or feeling any enjoyment in wanting to take photos.

Forecast after stepping into park: Gonna be bored.

Look at the baby ducky in front of its Mommy. Cute!

Wellington Testimonial.
The testimonial was conceived in 1813 before final victory over Napoleon at Waterloo in 1815 (Dublin by Christine Casey).

Adios park! Peace out!
